April Favourites!

Hello lovely people!

It is that time again where I run through my favourites from the past month. So lets jump straight into it.

My first favourite is a body lotion and it is the Garnier Body intensive 7 days nourishing lotion for normal to dry skin. I have had  real problem with my dry skin over the last few months and I
had been really struggling to find a body lotion that would actually hydrate my skin for the whole day. This body lotion is amazing, it is hypoallergenic which is perfect for my skin because a lot of products have reactions to my skin. The smell is also amazing. I love the almond smell. After using this for about a month I can really tell the difference in my skin. It feels a lot more hydrated and if I forget to apply it for a day, my skin still feels super soft and refreshed.

Next up are some face wipes. I have always been a fan of the Nivea skincare selection and decided to try the pure and natural face wipes. These wipes are free from parabens, silicones, colourants, mineral oils and alcohol and they can be used on all skin types. After using these wipes I really don't know why I was using anything else. They are so gentle on the skin and leave your skin feeling so soft. They take off all makeup, including eye makeup and they smell amazing. They are also super cheap as well, I will definitely be repurchasing.

Another skincare item is a hand cream. Like my skin my hands have been really suffering. Since being on my teaching placement you are constantly having to wash your hands andIi found that plus the strange weather we have been having recently in England, my hands were really beginning to suffer. This stuff has really helped with that. Despite smelling like baby cream this has definitely helped my hands a lot. It is a really thick moisturiser but it blends in really easily and leaves your hands feeling soft for a long time. Not the cheapest of hand creams but it works really well.

Next up is a perfume. I received a load of perfume samples from my fiancee when he brought my naked 2 palette and also from a wedding fair that I went to with my mum back in February so I have been trying to work my way through them. My favourite has definitely been Daisy by Marc Jacobs. The scent is so fresh and has been perfect for the spring and I also received loads of compliments whilst wearing it. I will definitely be buying the full size bottle.

Onto nails and this month it is a no brainer, the Maybelline super stay gel nail colour in mint for life. I have been looking for a mint nail varnish for a long time. I didn't want it to be too green or too blue, I wanted the perfect mint and I found it in this. This brand of nail varnish is amazing and definitely lasts for 7 days so I will be checking out some more colours from their range. The colour of this nail varnish has been perfect for spring and has complemented a lot of my clothing. They are also super affordable do I would recommend that you check them out.

Lastly is a lip gloss. I have already done a review on this lip gloss so I suggest you check this out but it is the Tanya Burr lipgloss in the shade Aurora. It is beautiful pink colour and is the perfect pink for spring as it gives a bit of colour but without being too over the top.

So there are my April favourites!

Let me know what you have been loving this month!

MAC lipstick convert!

Hello lovely people,

So my lovely fiance treated me to not one but two MAC lipsticks a couple of weeks ago. These are the first MAC lipsticks I own (shock, horror) and asked for creme cup and peach blossom. These are both nude shades, hence the reason I went for them and I love them both. The consistency of both lipsticks are amazing and they are just so smooth and creamy. Creme cup is a much more pinky colour whereas peach blossom is more of a enhance your lip colour kind of lipstick. I have been wearing these on a daily basis and am now truly a MAC lipstick convert!

Tanya Burr Lip Gloss review - Aurora

Hello lovely people!

I recently visited a Superdrug with a Tanya Burr Lips and Nails section in store. I have been a massive fan of Tanya and thought it only right to pick up a lip gloss. I do not actually wear a lot of lip gloss so decided to go with just one. After swatching the selection I decided to go with Aurora.

My first impressions of this lip gloss are very good, especially for someone who is not a big fan of lip gloss. They smell and taste just like berries which is amazing.

The colour is beautiful and it applies really well. I was really surprised at how much colour the lip gloss gives off, as it is really light and doesn't leave your lips feeling sticky with product. It gives a really healthy pink glow to the lips without being over the top and it last for quite a while.

For someone who is not a fan of lip gloss I have been thoroughly suprised by this product and am definitely going to pick up some more. If you have any suggestions of which one I should try next then please leave a comment.

Have you tried Tanya's Lip gloss? if so what is your favourite shade?

My updated makeup routine.

Hello lovely people.

I have spent a lot of time testing out new products and I have recently discovered my perfect combination of products. I have been using the same routine and products (except lipstick which I change depending on the day) for about 2 months now and I love it. So here is my updated makeup routine.

Foundation:
Foundation for me is the thing I really struggle with. I want to find a good foundation for my normal/oily skin but I don't want it to look too matte. I discovered the Rimmel Match Perfection last summer and had it in a darker shade but decided to try it out in a lighter shade and I really like it. It gives a lovely healthy glow without looking too shiny and it works with my normal/oily skin. This is in shade 100 (ivory). I apply this with my real techniques expert face brush.

Concealer:
I then apply my collection concealer in shade 2 medium/cool. This concealer is amazing and I am definitely not going to change it any time soon. I apply this under the eyes and anywhere I need extra coverage and then I blend it in with my real techniques setting brush. Then under the eyes and on the lids I apply my Rimmel Match Perfection highlighter and concealer just to add a little brightness to my eyes. I then blend it in with my real techniques setting brush.

Setting powder:
I have been using this for ages now and I love it! It is the Rimmel stay matte powder in transparent. This stuff lasts all day and doesn't make you skin look full of powder.

Eyebrows:
For my eyebrows I have been loving the Maybelline brow pencil in Dark Blonde. I really struggle to find a pencil which fits with my blonde hair but this is the perfect colour. The only downside is that it doesn't last that long especially if you use it every day.

Eyeshadow:
I got the naked 2 palette for christmas this year and have been using it non stop. Depending on the day will depend what colours I choose to wear but my favourites are Bootycall, Suspect, YDK and Tease.

Mascara:
I have been testing out this new mascara and I actually really like it. It is the Miss Manga mega volume mascara from L'Oreal Paris. I like the way it gives volume but leaves your lashes looking natural as well.

Bronzer:
I love the Bourjois chocolate bronzer. This is in shade 51. I love the smell and the lovely colour it gives, it doesn't make you look orange.

Blush:

My favourite blush every is the Rose Gold (926) blush from Sleek. The pigment is amazing and it gives such a rosy glow to your cheeks. I use it every day non-stop.

Lips:
Depending on the day will depend what lip colour I will choose. My most used is the Revlon lipstick in shade 353 Cappuccino.

And that is my everyday makeup routine. Like I said before these are the products which I have tested out and loved so use them on a regular basis.

Let me know what your everyday staples are!

let's talk about lips

Hello lovely people!

Now as it is getting colder every day and is now fully into Autumn, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to talk about lip care. The one thing I hate about the cold months is the effect is has on your skin and especially you lips which is why it is so important to keep them moisturised. So I thought I would share with you some of the lip care products that i have lying around at the moment.

First up is the Palmer's Coco Butter Lip Balm. This helps prevent and protect chapped, cracked or wind burned lips. It also has the distinct smell that all the Palmer's products do which I personally love, but if you don't like the Palmer's smell then it is probably not for you. In terms of moisturising the lip product does very well, it keeps your lips hydrated and moisturised which is at the top of requirements for lip products.

Along the same lines as this is the Burt's Bees beeswax lip balm. It has vitamin E and peppermint in which helps keep you lips lovely and soft. The thing I also like about this lip balm is that it is 100% natural which is really important. This lip balm tastes amazing and makes my lips feel really fresh which is a weird feeling in a lip balm but I would definitely recommend it.

For more of a fun approach I would suggest the Maybelline baby lips. I have hydrate, intense care and peach kiss. Now these are definitely not as moisturising on the lips as the previous two mentioned but they are definitely a fun little thing to have in your handbag. Also, the smell and taste amazing, I think they are more along the same lines as a lip butter as they do leave your lips feeling really soft.

Talking about lip butters, I have loved the body shop lip butters for years now. I have tried every flavour there is but at the moment I have the mango flavour. I love using this lip butter before I go to bed as I feel it gives more coverage then a normal lip butter. It smells amazing and leaves your lips feeling super super soft.

The most important thing I think goes hand in hand with a good lip balm is a good lip scrub. A lip scrub gets rid of all the dry skin and buffers your lips. My personal favourite is the lush lip scrub. I have Mint Julips which I can only say, tastes like after eights. The great thing about this apart from the fact you can lick it off, is the fact that it is not heavy or rough on your lips but it works really well and leaves your lips feeling super soft. I tend to use this every time my lips are feeling a but rough.

What are your favourite lip products?

Thank you so much for reading. I am thinking of doing a question and answer blog which I will be posting next Friday. Obviously in order to do a question and answer blog I need some questions to answer, so please feel free to leave some questions in the comments section. The questions can be about anything really however if they are inappropriate I will not be answering them. I will take all the questions next Thursday and will post the blog next Friday.

Thank you all for reading, I love reading all your comments!

September Beauty Favourites!

Hello lovely people!

As I say every month, it's that time again where I share all the things I have been loving this month. This has been a crazy month for me. I had a lovely week away with my boyfriend as his parents and we went on a canal trip. I came back with some very defined arm muscles, and a dislocated toe but hey it was a fantastic week and the weather was amazing, which for England it is sort of a miracle. The other thing I have been doing this month is getting ready for my final year of University. For those who don't know I am studying Primary Education so that means at the end of this academic year I will be a qualified teacher! Yikes!!! scary times! but that means that this month I have been busy getting ready for and moving into my house I share with two of my friends, who just happen to also be on the same course. So yeah, enough of that, lets get on with the things I have been loving this month.

The first thing is Victoria's Secret pure seduction hand and body cream. I got this at the beginning of September ( I'm tempted to say) when I went to London with my boyfriend. I spent ages by the counter just smelling the different scents and trying to decide whether I wanted the body lotion or the body spray. I eventually decided on the body lotion and I am glad I did. This smells incredible, I think to some people it may be too sweet but I love sweet smelling things. It claims to be 24 hour moisturising, however I don't think it lasts this long, especially if you have really dry skin. I tend to use this in the morning and then use a more intense moisturiser at night however it is a lovely moisturiser and keeps all my dry bits, especially my elbows nice and moisturised and smelling lovely.

The next thing I have been loving is the Sleek blush in Pomegranate (923). I brought this ages ago but haven't really used it regularly, however it is such a lovely berry shade and perfect for Autumn/winter. It is really pigmented however, so make sure not to use a lot. Also when you first put it on it will look like a berry just threw up all over your cheeks, the trick is to blend, blend, blend.

I have also been loving this Bourgois Bronzer. Now I know everyone has one of these and it is easy to see why. It is in the shape of chocolate and even smells like chocolate and who could resist that. I absolutely love the packaging for this, it is so cute and different to most bronzers, which I love. I love a good bronzer and the colour this gives off is lovely and easy to blend. I have heard some people say it is too orange, however I haven't found this. I really recommend this bronzer if you haven't tried it.

The next thing is the 24 colour tattoo by Maybelline. This stuff is amazing and if i was to keep my makeup on for 24 hours I am sure this would last. Once you have this stuff on, it does not budge. I got the shade Pink Gold and it is a lovely colour either on its own or as a base for something darker for a more evening look. I highly recommend these and are definitely going to purchase some more on my next trip to boots.

I have also been loving these two real techniques brushes, the expert face brush and the setting brush. I have been using the expert face brush for my foundation as it really buffs it into the skin and sets it really nicely and then I have been using the setting brush for my under eye concealer and also for powder for setting my makeup under the eye.

The last makeup product I have been loving is these two soap and glory mother pucker lip gloss sticks in Plum Jam and Nudist. I won't go into much here but I did a full review of these which I will link here.

So that is all my beauty favourites. I do have some random favourites which I will put up in another post but I hope you have enjoyed reading this.

What have been your September favourites?

Soap and Glory Sexy mother pucker gloss stick

Hello lovely people!

To kick off this Wednesday I thought I would share another lip purchase I made. I actually brought these quite a while ago but haven't got round to posting about them until now. I was in boots and came across these little gems which are the sexy mother pucker gloss sticks. I hadn't really heard many people talk about these so I thought I would give them a try. The fact that they were on special as well made the temptation even harder to resist. So the two colours I picked up were nudist and plum jam.

The first thing to say about these is they smell amazing, as do all Soap and Glory products but these smell extra amazing. They also taste really good, which in a lip product is not such a good thing on me cos it doesn't last 10 seconds! Secondly the finish they give is so smooth and glossy, it is like a lip gloss but with lipstick staying power. Nudist is a perfect nude colour and a great one to carry in your handbag if you need a little something extra on your lips. Plum Jam is a great Autumnal colour, it is not a really heavy colour so is easy to carry off on a day to day basis but then at the same time is great for an evening look if you want a bit of colour but aren't quite brave enough to try a bold lipstick.

Nudist

Plum Jam
I will definitely have to check out the rest of the colours in this collection.

Have you tried these? What do you think?

Let me know I love reading your comments :)

Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream review

Hello lovely people, so I am back from a lovely week away and back to normal. I thought I would kick off the week with a review I have been asked to do and that is the Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream.
I picked this up at the beginning of summer and to be honest it has been a life saver and I have worn it everyday of the summer. The thing with BB cream is that it is a lot lighter then foundation and for summer that is perfect. It is also for oily skin and although I don't class my skin as oily during the summer I think I need that little bit extra coverage. This BB cream also contains 2% salicylic acid which basically means it is prevents spots. This BB cream claims to do these 8 things:

The application with this product is good, it is really light on your skin so looks really natural, there is the option to build it up though if your skin isn't looking that great and I think it is really easy to do so with this product. I think this products works well with being applied with your hands or a brush, however I prefer to use a real techniques face brush to blend it all in. The good thing about this is that it really blends well into your skin so doesn't leave you with lines if you are adding more product to certain areas of your face.

The only problem I would say is the colour selection, it only comes in light or medium so there is not much to choose from if you are in between that, however I do think if you blended them both together or just blended one with a darker or lighter foundation then that could work well too.

I think this is a really good product if you are just beginning to get into makeup and want something light for your skin. However it is also really good for the no makeup, makeup days now that it is getting into winter. I definitely will be repurchasing this product.

Have you tried this BB cream?

I hope you have enjoyed this, let me know if there is anything else you would like me to review.

August Favourites :)

Hello lovely people, it is that time again.... monthly favourite time! I swear I say it every month but how fast is this year going?!!! It's crazy, but anyway here are the things I have been loving this month.

Now the first thing I am going to mention is actually something that has been in my favourites before and that is the Maybelline dream pure BB cream. Now the reason i am mentioning it again is the fact that I have used it everyday for the month of August so although I mentioned it last month it had to have another mention this month. If you want to read my previous review of it then click here.

The second thing I have been loving is Maybelline baby lips. I did a review on them here, but basically these have been great for the summer. I got them in hydrate, intensive care and peach kiss. I love using them underneath lipstick and they all have SPF 20 in which has been great for this month as it has been really sunny.

The next thing I have been loving is Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in shade 353 (cappuccino). This lipstick gives a really good finish, it sort of gives a pearly finish (if that even makes sense). It isn't particularly matte but it doesn't have a really big shine. I have used it for both day and evening looks and it works equally well.

Lastly in terms of makeup I have also been loving Sleek blush in Rose Gold (926). I am a sucker for a Sleek blush, they are so pigmented and give such a lovely finish to the skin. I definitely love this colour as it is such a lovely summery shade and many people have said it's a dupe for Nars Orgasm.
Top is Revlon Lipstick (cappuccino) and bottom is Sleek Blush (Rose Gold)
In terms of haircare I have been loving Herbal Essences volumising shampoo for fine/normal hair. I have never been a fan of herbal essences but this shampoo has changed my mind. As I have fine hair anyway anything to give me extra volume in my hair is going to be good and plus this stuff smells amazing. I have recently purchased the conditioner to go with the shampoo so hopefully it will give me added volume to my hair.

In terms of non beauty products I have been loving these two yankee candles. The first is summer scoop which smells just like raspberry ice cream and the second is waikiki melon which smells amazing. I definitely love sweeter smelling candles and these just smell amazing.

lastly is my new academic diary which I have been able to start using in August. I like using academic diaries rather then year ones just because while I'm at uni all my busy periods are between September and May so an academic diary covers me for that period as it runs from August to July 31st. Also being a trainee teacher I'm used to planning using these kinds of diaries. This diary is actually from the Works and it is a lovely hardback diary which a page for each day.

So that is all my favourites for the month of August. I'm really looking forward to what September will bring and I will be moving back to uni towards the end of it for my final year!

I hope you have enjoyed this and let me know what your favourites from the past month have been.

What's in my everyday summer makeup bag

Hello lovely people, so I thought today I would share with you the makeup I've been wearing on a day to day basis over the summer. To be honest it is basically my base routine that you can then add to. So here goes...

To start with I use Maybelline dream pure BB cream. As it is the summer I hate using anything too heavy on my skin so I love this BB cream as it gives a light coverage that you can build on it. I think this BB cream is a must have for summer. After that I will apply Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 concealer and highlighter, under my eyes and anywhere I want to highlight basically. On blemishes I use the natural collection cover up stick. At the moment I have it in fair, which is a bit light for my skin but to be honest I haven't had many blemishes this summer. Then to set all of that I will use the Rimmel Stay matte powder in transparent with my No7 face brush. I will then quickly fill in my brows using Maybelline Master shape in shade Dark Blonde.

On my eyes I don't tend to use much especially for a day to day look so I just add a bit of Maybelline Falsies volume express mascara. For the summer I purchased the waterproof one however normally I would just use the normal version. Then to finish off the look I would normally apply the Palmer's Moisturizing Lip Balm which is great and has vitamin E in and an SPF of 15, however I recently purchased some Maybelline Baby lips and am using the peach kiss one as it gives a really nice subtle colour to the lips, which is perfect for everyday.
This is the finished look! As I said before it is really minimal makeup, so may not be to everyone's taste, however it is definitely a look you can build on if you want to.

I hope you enjoyed this and let me know what you think.

Maybelline Baby Lips

So I went into Boots at the weekend and couldn't resist picking up three of the Maybelline Baby Lips. I knew that for £2.99 each they were not going to be life changing but I picked up the intense care, hydrate and peach kiss. The first thing I must say is that they smell amazing, the only smell I can relate it to is the necklaces that are made of sweets. They all have SPF20 and are full of shea butter. Peach kiss also gives a bit of colour to the lips as well which a lovely subtle nude tone. They say that they hydrate the lips for 8 hours which I think is a bit grand, I found I was having to reapply every two or so hours but all the same they do keep your lips lovely and smooth. For £2.99 I think they are fun and snazzy and worth a look at, even if they don't change your life.

Have you tried these yet?

July Favourites :)

Hello lovely people, so it is that time again to review my favourites of the month. I don't have that many this month, especially when it comes to makeup as I have been wearing that much but I will jump straight in with my favourites from July.
Firstly is the Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream for oily skin. I love this product, it gives a really light coverage however it is buildable if you want something a bit more. As it is for oily skin it stops my skin from going oily during the day and put with some powder over the top means it lasts all day. It also has SPF 15 which in the weather we have had over the last month in England I have definitely needed. It also has 2% Salicylic Acid in which helps with clearer skin. It is really easy to work with and gives a slightly matte finish to the skin rather then a shiny one, which I prefer. I would definitely recommend this product.

My next favourtie is a Rimmel lasting finish lipstick in the shade Nude Pink (206). The reason I picked this lipstick up apart from my slight obsession with nude lipsticks, is because it had a slight orange/coral tone to it which I was interested to try. This has definitely been my most worn lipstick of the month and I absolutely love it. I think it really complements my skin tone, especially as it is a bit tanned now and it is definitely a lovely summery colour.

In terms of nail varnish I have one colour I have used non stop throughout July and that is Essie Cute as a button. It is the perfect coral colour and looks great in the summer. I love the brush on Essie nail varnishes and they give really good coverage and dry quickly. Like the lipstick I think it complements my tan really well and I would say it makes me look even more tanned which is great.

The last July favourite is a hair product and that is the Dove Intensive repair leave-in-conditioning and care spray. My previous post was a review on this product so if you want a more detailed review then check that out but overall it has been a really good. It makes my hair feel light and refreshed but also protected and it also helps prevent split ends and breakages.

So that is all my July favourites!
I hope you have enjoyed this and let me know what your July favourites were!

My top 10 summer products!

Hey guys, so here are my top 10 beauty/skin products that i recommend for summer.
1) Moisturiser: I am normally a massive fan of Nivea but I love this moisturiser in the summer, it  is the Neutrogena visibly clear moisturiser. The reason I love this is mostly because of the  smell (pink grapefruit) and it also leaves your skin feeling super soft and refreshed. It is also oil free which is a bonus in the summer because the last thing you want is an oily face.

2) Suncream: Well obviously this is a given in the summer, but when it comes to suncream for my face I am really picky. So I have chosen Garnier Ambre Solaire High. This is great for people that don't like the smell of suncream as it doesn't have the smell typically found in them. This is also non-greasy and non-sticky which is great for applying to your face. I have it in factor 50, even though I don't burn, I have a lot of moles so I use it for that and I also use it to protect my skin on my face.

3) Self Tanner: Now if you are the type of person who likes to fake it more then this is perfect. It is the Dove summer glow in fair to medium (to be honest this is too light for my skin now and so I use it more as a moisturiser). This product is great for giving you an overall glow and doesn't leave streaks or patches of orange all over you body. I recommend using this every other day with just moisturiser in between.

4) Waterproof Mascara: Well lets face it, in the sun we are going to get sweaty and the last thing we want is mascara have way down our face so this product is great. I love the falsies mascara from maybelline, so simply got the waterproof version. It does basically exactly the same as the normal one but is waterproof. It is definitely a win win for me.

5) Hair conditioner: In the summer my hair can get quite dry so I use Dove intensive repair leave-in conditioner to give my hair a bit of a boost. This stuff also smells great and you can use it on both wet and dry hair.

6) Feet: With all this sandal wearing I need my feet in tip top condition so I use the soap and glory heel genius foot cream. You simply put it on at night and in the morning you have super soft feet, ready for those flip flops and sandals.

7) Cleanser: I love using the No7 Beautiful skin cleansing water to give my skin some energy in the morning. I love this stuff, as it makes your skin feel refreshed and clean. Often I will just use this stuff with my moisturiser if I'm having a non makeup day and  my face won't get greasy or anything during the day.

8) BB cream: We have probably all had the problem of keeping makeup on our face during a really hot day but that is where i love BB creams. I have been using the Maybelline dream pure BB cream for oily skin and it has been a life saver. I can put this on in the morning and can guarantee that my makeup will not have moved in the evening. It also has SPF 15 which is great as well. I would definitely recommend this product if you have oily skin.

9) Bronzer: I am a sucker for a good bronzed look in the summer and I have been loving the NYC Big Bold bronzer in shade 602 (Metropoli tan). This is a great bronzer, as it is not too have and you can either you it to contour your face or just as an overall bronze to your face and it is really cheap as well.

10) Finally nails: I love bright colours in the summer and I have recently fallen in love with this coral colour from essie. Cute as a button is the perfect colour for summer. It really enhances your tan and gives a really summery feel to your look. Love, love, love this product.

So that's it, my top 10 beauty/skin products for the summer. I hope you have enjoyed this and let me know what your summer favourites are!

June Favourites

Hey guys!
I can't believe that June is over! We are half way through the year and it seems to be going so quick. I thought I would share with you just a few of the things that I have been loving throughout the month of June. Not all the products have been brought in June but I have used them the most during this month. So here goes...
Don't mind the cat in the background!

In terms of makeup, the first thing I have been loving is Rimmel lipstick in pink blush (shade 006). I love this colour a lot, it is nearly the same colour pink as my NYC lipstick which is my favourite but I love the matte finish this lipstick gives. It is also the perfect colour for summer.

I have been loving the MUA heaven and earth eyeshadow pallet. I know how everyone raves about this pallet and there isn't much more I can say about it that hasn't already said. I used natural colours on my eyes every day so this was a perfect buy for my and for £4 it is a must have for whether you are just starting out  trying makeup or just want another pallet to add to your collection.

I have also been loving two blushes this month which are the Sleek blush in flushed (shade 935) and the body shop blush in shade 01. Now these two colours are quite contrasting but I have been using the body shop blush in the day as it gives a lovely rosey look to your cheeks. Then I have been using the sleek blush for more of an evening look. I love sleek blushes, they are so pigmented and give such a lovely colour and even though the colour may look quite harsh here it blends out really well.

To go with these blushes I have been loving NYC biig bold bronzer in shade MetropoliTan (602). As it has been sunny anyway my face colour as changed so I tend to use this bronzer for a overall golden glow to my face and I think it really works well.

The body shop lip butter in mango has also been a favourite of mine this month. I love their lip butters and although this is not a new flavour this is by far my favourite and is definitely a staple product in my handbag during the summer.

My nail colours for this month have definitely been a toss up between these two colours. The BarryM mint green has been a favourite summer colour of mine for a long time and it comes out every year and then the BeautyUK blue nail varnish is also a favourite. I'm not quite sure where you can buy these as they were a present from a friend for my birthday but if you can get your hands on them they have a lovely set of pastel colours which are great for summer.

In terms of skin care the product I have used the most is the dove summer glow in shade fair to medium. This is a self tanner which gives a gradual glow to your skin. I absolutely love this product and apply it every two days with a day of just moisturiser in between. It isn't streaky and doesn't leave horrible orange patches on your skin and it doesn't transfer onto clothes or bedding. The only think I'm not too keen on is the smell it leaves.

I have also recently purchased the N07 Beautiful skin Cleansing water for normal/oily skin. I'm going to do a review about this product for my next blog so I won't go into too much detail but basically it does what it says on the bottle. It takes off every inch of makeup on your skin and leaves it refreshed which is why it is on my favourites list but I thought I just had to mention it in my June favourites.

Lastly is my fragrance of the month which is Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Honeysuckle perfume. I love this perfume and it has a perfect scent for summer. As I've gotten older I had tried to steer away from the really sweet smelling perfumes however as it is now summer I wanted something that was sweeter then my normal perfume but still seemed mature as well. This definitely ticks both boxes.

So that's it guys, I've just realised that this blog is really long so I apologise. So I hope you have enjoyed this and please like, comment and subscribe to my blog and let me know what you think.

What are your June favourites?

Have a great week
