Ode to Lychee

Hello lovely people!

Again I have to apologise for my lack of posts this week. Basically, it has been mental as I am moving back to University tomorrow so have been busy packing up my room. I have also taken my Literacy Skills Test this week, for people who don't know I basically have to do a literacy and maths skills test in order to gain my qualified teaching status. So by passing this, it means I am half way there. Phewww...

Anyway, onto what this post is really meant to be about and that is nail varnish! Now I know I am probably really late jumping onto this band wagon but I have recently discovered the gel range from BarryM. I picked up the colour 'Lychee' and I am now officially obsessed. The application is really easy and the finish is lovely, it gives a lovely shine without even applying a top coat. It is the perfect natural colour and it lasts for nearly a week without chipping, which is actually really good for me. They are also only £3.99 (bargain!!!) and they can be picked up from any Boots or Superdrug.

This was only a short post but I just had to share my love of this nail varnish. I am definitely going to try some more from this range!

Have you tried this range? What did you think of them?

I hope to make my posts more regular once I move back to Uni so keep your eye on the blog! If you like it please like, comment, follow. I really love hearing from you lovely people and really enjoy reading your comments.

Love
Grace x

  1. I'm still totally besotted with the Barry M Gelly Paints. I do have this shade, but must confess that I haven't got around to wearing it yet LOL. But it is lovely - a classy nude, even for A/W :o). Xx

  2. Hi Grace,

Thanks for your comment. I agree it's good to know where children are starting from, but I've done all of that already - I was a nursery nurse, then I worked as a TA for 11 years and did my degree in early childhood studies so I know so much about early years. I really need to focus on the curriculum and planning side of things for my teacher training year and that is why I was really unhappy in nursery - as well as it being my least favourite age! I've just moved to a year one class and feel so much happier about it.

How does the B ED work? I often wish I'd done that degree as I would have got QTS 5 years ago if I'd done that degree instead! It took me ages to get on my training - which was GTP but is now school direct GTP as there were 10 applicants per place every year.

Good luck with your final year!

    1. It is basically a three year degree which at the end of it you gain qualified teaching status. You do a main placement every year where you have standards you have to sign off and you do more teaching every year, so this year i will be doing 70% of the teaching. It is all coursework based so no exams!

Thank you very much, hope it all goes well for you this year:)
